[At the restaurant, Hifumi stands nearby, holding his suit jacket over a shoulder. He's all dressed for work, of course, but the jacket didn't need to be on right now when he would be with Doppo soon.
In his other hand is his phone just to keep an eye on things from... literally anyone these days, what with how much he had going on lately. But the sight of Doppo brings him such joy, and he has the biggest smile. The phone goes into his pocket and he waves in Doppo's direction.]
[ louder, hifumi, doppo doesn't think the people on the three moons heard you yet. but he's in a good mood, and hifumi's like sunshine, bright and exuberant, and he can't help but smile as he goes to join him. ]
I know, I know, I heard you. Hi.
[ he tells him dryly, but reaches for his hand and gives it a shy squeeze anyway, his one concession to pda (because what if people notice them more than they've already noticed hifumi). ]
I booked a private booth for us, away from people.
[ ...because that jacket's off and doppo is very well aware of what that means. ]
[Hifumi says cheerfully. Since he hadn't seen Doppo all day, he pulls him into a hug. So much for that one concession! He can't help it; he's just so happy he can be with Doppo before work like this.]
I'm so so soooo happy I get to see you early today! That means this is gonna be a super extra great night!
[ doppo gently chides him after he gives him a squeeze while hugging him, his other concession to pda because hifumi is just handsy and exuberant and adorable that way. he's smiling before he leads him into the restaurant proper, politely checking on their reservation before they're led to their booth!

Once seated, Hifumi takes a look at their surroundings, checking out the decor and getting a feel for the restaurant's vibe. Doppo always knows his taste, and while this is no surprise to him, it still always manages to touch his heart and make him feel warm and happy. He then does a little scoot to sit closer to Doppo, placing a hand on his thigh while looking through the menu.]
I did get some sleep! Then I went to buy the bed sheets and washed them when I got back home, then changed our sheets and lied on the new ones for a little while to make sure they really are comfy! I think you're really gonna love them, Doppo!
[ IT'S ACTUALLY QUITE THRILLING because doppo genuinely enjoys hearing about his day! and he really loves how joyful hifumi is, because his expression is soft. his hand comes to rest over hifumi's, giving it a squeeze and letting himself lean against him.
it's private, no one's going to see them. and hifumi, oh, his sunshine boyfriend, also incredibly thoughtful in his own right -- ]
Does this mean you're coming back earlier, to test it out with me?
Hmm... [He looks at Doppo thoughtfully. What a man. What a man full of great ideas.] You know what! I will plan to get home early tonight so I can go to bed with you! It would be no fun not getting to test the bed sheets with you the way they're truly meant to be enjoyed!
[His day has already been made and they've only just started the fun stuff. Oooh boy he's so excited to have more Doppo time! He's beaming from ear to ear, and links arms with Doppo. They could be in a crowd packed like sardines right now and Hifumi would not notice; he's so deeply in love with this man and Doppo might as well be all that exists in this restaurant at this moment. It's only unfortunate that he does have to go to work before he can have more of Doppo when he's feeling especially greedy for him.]
[ that's his man, the one that's full of bright ideas, hifumi. doppo can't help but be soft for just how cheery his partner is, and how such small things delight him so genuinely. so out of instinct, and after he's made sure that no one's in the vicinity to witness it, he darts forward to give him a quick kiss, right smack on the lips.
it's totally not pda if no one's around to see it. ]
[What a cute little kiss. Hifumi's so overwhelmed with joy. He takes Doppo's hands into his own, sitting them right on Doppo's lap.]
Ah - seeing how well the fabric can hold up to a night of dirty games, you know?
[He lets out a playful little mischievous laugh. He brings up one of Doppo's hands to place little kisses on it.]
It's all I can think about. Maybe dinner before work was a bad idea... I won't be able to focus on anything else, like deciding what to eat from this restaurant. Do you want to share something?
